Health Promotion Through Community Health Promotion Snaps

According to the World Health Organization, “health is a state of full physical, emotional and social well being and not just the absence of sickness and disease.” Various definitions have been applied to the term, with varying levels of importance. For instance, the dictionary defines health as “a quality of life achieved by the possession of healthy habits, the maintenance of which enhances the physical and emotional well being of an individual.” However, another definition defines health as “the absence of serious illness or disease.”

One of the major goals of WHO is the improvement of health. The Universal Health System envisions various stages of progression for health, which are reflected in the different strategies and programs of the organizations. WHO recognizes that different people have different needs when it comes to health conditions. Therefore, it has created various categories, such as Children’s Health, Community Health, Mental Health, Physical Health and Sexual Health. The primary objective of these organizations is the creation of a truly global approach to health. They also provide technical support to implement the different programs of the WHO.

Health at a social level implies the well-being of the individual, family and community at large. It is an interdependence that involves the promotion of preventive measures, early detection, quality management, care and treatment. The term well-being has many shades and there are many definitions according to different fields. It can be explained as the ability to manage risks and the ability to cope with illnesses and injuries.

Wellness is closely related to the quality of life. The key to well-being is good health status, which is determined through healthy diet, regular exercise and a safe and clean environment. A healthy diet improves the nutritional status and lowers the risks of becoming ill. A healthy diet ensures that all nutrients, including essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients are obtained from a good natural environment, in turn improving overall health.

Community health management is an integrated system that involve different aspects of community protection and promote wellness through prevention and screening, community education and promotion, and research and policy development. These aspects include prevention, screening, education, research and policy development, strategies for promoting wellness. Community health services offer programs and policies aimed at preventing, reducing and treating common health problems and addressing specific concerns. They also provide services for preventing diseases and disability and focusing on the well-being of people in chronic conditions. The overall health care provided by the community health services includes primary care, community preventive care programs, immunization programs, health promotion and disease prevention and treatment.

The National Health Service (NHS) was created in 2021 to merge the various components of the public health system. The new structure is made up of six national health service agencies and one regional healthcare body. The system is managed by a National Health Service Commission for patients, carers and parents. The commission is headed by a National Health Service Board and comprises a chief executive officer, a deputy head and a board of directors. It provides general medical advice to the government on medical matters and disseminates periodical reports on health issues.
